Spring Creek Kayak Tours Meet at Spring Creek Day Use Area (on the west side of Hwy 97 passed the Logging Museum)
$25 per single person kayak $40 per two person kayak (tandem) (All Gear is Included)

General Information:

  • How to sign up: Please see hosts in site A3 to reserve your tour.
  • What’s provided: Kayaks, paddles and PFDs provided. You may use your own personal flotation device if you prefer, as long as it’s a Coast Guard approved type 3 or type 2 personal flotation device in good condition (no fading, rips, tears, obvious damage).
  • How long: Tours are usually 2 to 2.5 hours. However, you should allow for 3 hours, which will include check-in, and instruction, tour.  (Tours may be canceled in the event of inclement weather.)
  • Who can go: Children 6 – 11 may ride with an adult in a tandem kayak, 12 and up may ride in a single kayak. All children (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult. No pets are allowed on the tour.
  • What to Bring: a mask, hand sanitizer, your own snacks, drinking water, hat, footwear that can get wet, insect repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses and camera.
  • What to wear: You don’t need to buy special clothing to paddle but a little planning will keep you a lot more comfortable.  What to wear kayaking is important.  Layered clothing is suggested.  Several thin garments will keep you just as warm as a single thicker one, and are much more versatile. Remember you’ll need to think about staying cool as much as staying warm, and you can always add or subtract layers.  Avoid thick cotton, denim, heavy boots and clothing that restricts your movement.  Expect to get at least a little wet.  It is smart to bring extra clothing, shoes and a towel – just in case.
